Eco-friendly Insect Trap
It is the first food baited trap for flying pests in Italy which is so effective in reducing the use of chemicals in the protection of orchards, olive groves, vineyards, citrus farms, apiaries and vegetables gardens.
The Tap Trap insect trap was the first eco-friendly trap to be inspired by a traditional farmers’ technique involving the use of water plastic bottles, which were altered to turn them into trap. This technique, by itself cumbersome and ineffective, was transformed by Tap Trap into a very practical and professional insect trap.
The TapTrap top-trap, which has been on the market since 2004, is much loved and there have been many attempts to emulate its trapping methods and those home made baits which we have been studying and testing for many years. However, Our trap remains unique in its kind: the only one which is completely made in Italy and of whose colour, intense yellow, acts as strong attractant for many kind of flying pests.
Tap Trap is easily placed on the neck of a common plastic bottle which can then be hung on the plant to be protected. It is made of very durable plastic and is therefore reusable for many seasons.
